Yoteless in Ohio

Are there any tricks or tell tale signs of a coyote track vs a wild dog track? Saw some tracks today but didn't know for sure if they were yote tracks or local dog tracks. There seemed to be two sharp claw marks close together in the front.

Coyote tracks are more oval in overall shape. While dogs tracks are more rounded.
Google Coyote tracks and you should be able to find some pics/drawings.

As was pointed out coyote tracks are more oval- elongated from front to back. You can draw an 'X' between the large pad and the first toes up forward of the large pad. A dog's track is too round to do that. Here is a pic of a coyote track in the snow-the round is a .260 Rem for scale. TTT
