olight m3x with red filter vs xlr 250

I purchased a olight m3x triton last season and used it as my gun mounted light. It worked quite well, with the only downfalls being the red lens reduces light a great deal and the beam also throws a lot of light to the sides. Im now looking into an xlr250. Has anyone compared the red led 250 to the olight with a red lens?

Very true, especially since a white CREE XML LED puts out less than 5% of their color spectrum as red.

However, they put out over 50% of their spectrum as green, so a green filter works very good while a red filter works very bad.

If you want a red light, get one with a real RED LED in it, not a filtered white light.

The Olight M3-X Triton is an extremely powerful thrower, but NOT with a red filter on it.

yeah the olight is a phenominal light but that red filter cuts down on the disance you can identify to just over 100 yards. The kill light seems like a great buy I cant wait to get it.

And the green lens wont dim the light so much on my olight?
