221 Fireball Fur Loads

I just traded for a 700 LS 221 fireball haven't got it yet but would like to find some fur friendly loads for it and start plinking around with it on groundhogs. I'm wanting something that will work out to 200-250 on coyotes and not tear a fox up at 50yrds. I know bullet selection is the key so what is everyone shooting that are saving pelts.

You might try the 40 grain BT. Good BC and good accuracy. Try Lil gun and the 40 or 1680.. Just a thought!

I'm seeing some good results with 40 sierra blitzkings and 1680 powder. Also reloder 7 seems to work well in my 700 lvsf currently.

I too had success with 40gr Sierra BlitzKing and more recently the 35gr Nosler E-TIp both loaded with AA1680.

My load was 20.2gr of AA1680 and from my CZ it's running just a tad over 3700fps.

I've used Berger's 30 gr with 15 gr of lil gun. Coons and foxes.
