So You Expect Biden On The 2012 Ticket?

Obama should expect to be well north of the 50% job approval rating and he cannot seem to crack even 50% much. This has historically signaled the kiss of death for an incumbent.

Here are the data HB: http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_c...l_index_history

Fair enough...thanks, Java. I will say that Obama is hovering around 50% despite a lengthy recession. We still have a long campaign to go and many opportunities for the economy to strengthen.

The 50% he is receiving is from the people sucking the Goverment Tit!

The economy has Degressed since Homey has been in office! You think 4 more years of a lenghty recession is going to help the matter?

What makes you think he can or will turn it around in 6 months??

Hope for Change!

I believe he is currently doing well in the polls against Romney. The approval rating is cause for concern. However, considering the troubled economy and high unemployment, his approval numbers are actually remarkable. I believe Obama will compare favorably to the Rombot during the coming campaign and debates. I certainly don't believe the situation is desperate. Of course, I imagine that you disagree.

"his approval numbers are actually remarkable" Your right HB,it shows that Obama can still fool half of the electorate with his bravo sierra..

HB, Obama isn't doing well against no one... look at the numbers in the Democratic Primary. In Kentucky Obama received less than 60% of the vote, running against "uncommitted", West Virgina he received less than 60% of the vote running against a Texas convict. Pretty much anyone's name shows up on the ballot, and he's lost 40% of the vote, he's only receiving 70% - 80% of the vote running against "uncommitted".

And, that is strictly the Democrats voting! Imagine what that's going to look like when you toss in all the Republicans, and Tea Partiers, and Independents that are tired of his crap.

If he can get that to 75% in the next 6 months we'll have 4 more years of bozo.

I predict Obama will lose by a landslide, nobody in their right mind wants four more years of this misery. If by some chance he does win, then that tells me America has turned the corner to socialism.

I don't see him picking the hildabeast. does anyone really think that he wants his heartbeat to be the only thing between her & the presidency?

+1 STU.

IF, qualify that 'IF" BO can drive the price of gasolene below $3.00 a gallon? I believe this nation will fall in line, forget his bad performance, because he 'saved us' from escalating energy costs, and follow the pied piper to the polls. Expect the chamelion/shape shifter gear to come out over the next few months; why just this week he loves the military. Probably in the royal throne room retching his guts out over that one.

Don't see that happenin D1W price has been too high for too long. Dropping it much now will cost him votes, because the public will come to the realization that he does have the power to affect the price, yet he has refused to act in that capacity for the last however many years while we suffered.

THAT is why we haven't seen a major decrease in the price of gas, we've seen a gradual decrease over the last few months. He's not after the, "The President brought the price of gas down a $1.25 cents to day!" kinda news. He's after the "The price of gas when he took office was $1.87/gallon, the price today is..."

The best thing that could happen to Obama on the price of gas window, is if it stays the same price, or continues a couple cents/week decline. Going down too rapidly, will cost hiim more votes than if it remains constant.

I'm afraid you may be giving "the public" a bit more credit than they deserve, Rocky. Remember who put him in there in the first place.

Besides that, gas prices have dropped in our area over 50 cents a gallon since the first of the year. I suspect he will pull all stops to assure that it slips all the way to November even if he has to release some of the oil reserve (which you and I know would benefit prices only for a short period of time). He will, of course flip on the Canadian pipeline, drilling permits, etc. and then jump up and down and shout, "See What I Done for you?" The "public" is very fickle and has a very short memory.

Hope you are right on the public seeing through this, but I'm a skeptic in that regard. Who would have thought Bill Clinton would have won a second term?

Funny you should say that HM.I said when Bill was elected for second I lost faith in the American people to do the right think and have been very sad with what I saw ever after. Not for me but for my children and grandchildren. All the while working in the "tech" industry and warning those I could about the tech bubble. There is a second bubble of sorts trying to form now but Facebook is not doing as well as they hoped.Maybe some did learn not to buy things that don't really exist.Facebook and all that stuff are number codes on a wire, you can't hold it,or eat it,and it can be gone like smoke.

I'm not a betting man, but I lost two boxes of .308 cal. 168 gr. Sierra Match Kings on that election, and that was just for starters.

I think the last thing Obama would want is Hillary as his VP. That would make her just one step closer to her dream of becoming the first woman president. It would only take one action by the Clinton's and I wouldn't put it past them.
