Does anyone own one? Accurate? Value? A friend has one and is looking for a .223 What would a rifle like this be worth in good to excellent condition? Any thoughts? Thanks!

Most Sako 78's that I've shot were literally one hole rifles at 50yds. Magazines and parts can be hard to find for them. I would say the $600 - $800 is pretty close.

I would trade any of my 223's for one.

Onery- I had one with the heavy barrel a couple of years ago. Worst mistake I every made was selling it. Tne 78's are EXTREMELY!! accurate rifles with the heavy barrels. I won several local matchs with the same rifle you are discribing. They have great triggers and are diffently shooters. Value is diffenetly in the $800/$900 range and maybe more. I traded mine for a Cooper in 17 Rem. Wish I had mine back. They are getting really scarce and hard to find.
