I have a R 15 VTR w/ 18" bbl. Shoots fire out about a foot, compared it next to my 20" Bushy & 16" Dpms shooting the Same Ammo and it seems louder too. All the Gas Keys are properly Lined and Staked.
Any way to tame it down on a cut/crowned target barrel other than threading and putting a Comp on it?
I really don't want a Flash Hider,But when you can see the Fire thru the Scope... Thanks.
 
I'm thinking a flash hider or compensator are your only options. With the relatively short barrel length on these guns, fire is the inevitable result.
