Wow, that's a good point. We all know how the quality of venison is affected by the feed, at least out here, with blacktail and mule deer.

Maybe desert lions, or lions killed in summer conditions don't rate up there with prime northern cats?

I (do) know that a friend brought back several hundred pounds of African lion, and wound up feeding it (eventually) to both of our dogs, who did not appear to be very crazy about it either.

Maybe cat is cat?
