Hand painted open country (optifade)

Little something that I have been working on. Base coats are duracoat, then layered with enamel and topped off with clear matte duracoat. Rifle is a winchester M70 featherwieght 7-08 wearing a loopy vx3 4.5-14.

That is pretty nice. I actually saw the barrel and never noticed the gun had a scope for a few seconds.... very nice indeed.

Same here, it blends right in with your pants & jacket.

I did the base duracoat, then sponge painted the color with model enamal, took a paint marker to it for some of the finer detail and then gave it a couple of clear matte duracoats. Turned out better than I had expected and can't wait to get it in the field...plus it is painted now so I should see my groups tighten up a bit...
