Well I had one gobble right before the rain, but I had to get shelter so I couldnt work him. I then went home to get dry gloves and returned to see my dad miss a nice tom at 17 yards, about a ten inch beard. Well re moved and reset up, I started working a tom on a ridge and got him within 100 yards, but he wouldnt come off the neighbors land. My dad ended up shooting a bearded hen at 49 yards with his 870. Her stats are 7 5/8 inch beard, 14 3/4 pounds, no spurs.
