Vortex vs Leupold...spotting scopes???

I'm really wanting to start hunting the high country for deer and elk so I'm in the market for a good reliable spotting scope. Lately I've been looking at Vortex scopes and Leupold scopes. For the Vortex its between the Razor HD and the Viper HD scopes, for Leupold I've been looking at their "newer" Boone and Crockett scope. Now the MSRP value vares between $1000-$2000 between the three scopes. Which I wont mind putting out some more money if their worth the extra cost. The Razor HD and B&C scopes are pretty close to the same amount of money which is around $1800 give or take. The Viper HD is closer to the $1000 mark.

My question is for those that have been around one or any of the three scopes mentioned above how did you like them and how would you compare them to each other or others scopes in the same price range? Is the Razor HD or B&C scope worth the extra money over the Viper HD?

Thanks,
Luke
