Has anyone on here been Elk, muley, antelope, coyote, or bear hunting here in Idaho. I currently got stationed in Mountain Home Idaho, have no Idea where to go or where to even start scouting for next years hunts. If anyone can possibly point me in the right direction I would greatly appreciate it

I'm sure that just southwest of you has some coyotes. It's all just sage brush desert. I think the best part of hunting is getting out and finding the places you are looking for. I always love discovering new places to hunt.

For the big game stuff, I'd start studying harvest statistics in your area, or areas that you are willing to drive to that have public land(there's tons of Natl forest your way). Pick out a unit or 2 that are controlled tags and apply for those next spring. If that fails, get a general tag and start scouting the public lands available to you in general units.

Lots of useful land ownership info on the IDFG site, BLM and NF sites.
