Does Remington have standard barrel contour numbers?

I was researching aftermarket stocks and some of manufacturers reference standard barrel contour numbers (for example - a #3). I don't see where Remington identifies a barrel contour for my rifle or any kind of chart on their website. Are there standard numbers so people can identify a specific one or compare barrel size?

Just another confusing fact. Not all barrel makers have the same contour-number match. Example: Krieger's HV (probably the most common sold aftermarket size) is a #17 while Bartlin's HV (same dimensions) calls that same contour a #9.

Be careful just throwing #'s around

+1 Look at the contour chart, all are different.

Good luck
