Bullet: 70 gr Nosler Btip
Powder: 39 gr IMR4064
Case: win
Primer: WLR
COL: 2.723

Remington 700 26in BBL

Load shoot .6 -.9 in all day. Absolutely devestating on yotes. Shot one head on at 100yds, it was like picking up a bucket of ice water, no exit. Its seated close to the lands but you have to ababy them because there is not enough bullet in the neck. Long throat on the rifle. The owner is good with it.

ackleyman, I may have to try your Barnes 85gr load - haven't found anything that works yet in my Tikka T3 Lite, with either the 85's or the 80 TTSX's. Last attempt was with H4350, but I do like what I see out of this one (RL19 powder)

Nosler 70 BT
48.1 Reloader 19
CCI BR2 primer
2.620" COL
3,275 fps

This has been a fantastic ground-hog load for me!

I use 39.8 of 4064 with the Sierra 80 SBT (Blitz) bullets. This bullet seems to foul much less in my gun, but I haven't gotten the same level of accuracy with these - yet. May try RL19 next, or even RL15.

My same load except I'm using Lapua neck sized brass and CCI 250 primers. I was getting about 3460fps out of that load in my SPS-V. I switched to 40gr. Varget and got 3450fps. No exits on groundhogs as close as 50yds. It will ruin a hogs day, like a sack of bones filled with Jello when you hit them

Due to AckleyMans advice from earlier posts, I have found a load that My Winny likes. 49.5 Win760 with 55gr BT's..this is safe in My Rifle.. YMMV... start low and work up. Good luck.

My 243 really makes me mad. I want to shoot mid-weight bullets between 80-95 grains and it does so with very average results of about 1.25 inches with an occasional group down under 1 inch. But if I put my least favorite brand of brass, least favorite bullet, and least favorite powder it consistently shoots .5" groups.

I am not very proud of this recipe but it is scary accurate in my Savage:

Nosler 55g BT (Nosler 2nd's)
Federal Brass (Some once fired brass I found in the trash at the shooting range)
Remington LR primer
H414 45.0g (which is the minimum charge)

My pet load in My Rem. 700 with a 26 inch Douglas air Gauge barrel in .243 Win. with an 87 Gr. V-Max bullet .010" off rifling / lands is 43.5 GRs. of IMR4831 and a CCI 200 Primer in WW Brass with neck turned Flash hole DB'd and primer pocket uniformed.Done on a Forster Co-Ax press and Forster Match Grade dies.

My very best 5 shot group is under .250" and that is when I went to the trouble to weigh 5 bullets and Brass. When I don't weigh this load will shoot .375" groups most any time I can hold it steady enough. .375" groups are good enough for yote hunting.

I am not going to say it will shoot this group all day time after time, Because I leave out a couple of steps that would make it very consistent like weighing cases, weighing bullets and checking for run out.

I know if no picture of groups it doesn't count, I aint here to brag just telling you how it does. If you don't believe it I don't give a rats azz.

I have nothing to gain by misrepresentation of any thing.
