55gr Nosler -4000fps @ 300 yards in 10mph wind is 7.3" deflection---22.6" @ 500 yards

I would say speed might help, but weight would help more than speed. It is basic physics it takes more force to move something of greater mass. Also, of course better BC will make the wind have less effect.
I like those numbers but what is the kill performance of a VLD bullet on a yote compared to a frangible type bullet?
Is 3100fps a typical obtainable number w/o going to a 28 inch type barrel?
I have had very many run offs w/ 270 w/ 100 grain vmax @ 2900. Had some DRT, but I never have runners w/ 55 @ 4000fps.
