What a good scope for a slug gun . Needs long eye releif more than 5" probably
10" or so . was think about truglos scope its a 2-7x33. 66$ dnt know ifi need to buy a 200$ leupold .

Slug guns can be very brutal on cheaper scopes.

I had a Burris FFII and it lost zero after 5 shots.

I've ran VXII 2-7 shotgun scope and never had a problem loosing zero.

I'm currently running a Zeiss Conquest 4x on my shotgun with excellent results.

First thing I would do is go to Bass Proshop, Midway, Cabela’s, Optic Planet, Optic Zone, etc and see how the scope is rated by customers.

When I was looking for a shotgun scope, I looked at $55-$499.00 scopes at gun shows, sporting good stores, etc.

I found that the Banner Dusk & Dawn looked just as good for $89 (side by side comparisons- indoor, outdoors, day/night) as the Nikon (huge Nikon fan) slug hunter, etc did for ????. It holds zero just fine (firing 3 ½ magnum in 12 ga) , pretty clear at night for the price and what I use it for.

However, I do recommend using tactical style rings for strength/hold.

Anyway, when looking at scopes there a lot of considerations (construction, glass quality, usage, etc).

Good Luck
