Woo-hoo! Drew an Elk tag - need assistance on .308 load

There is good info in all your responses. Thank you all, you've given stories from experiences that will give me a great starting point.

here- the 308 is plenty. if you go to 24hour campfire and talk to scenarshooter he kills a ton of stuff. my first choice would be a 165 weight, partition, or 168 baltip or accubond. a 150 or a 180 weight would be second. i have found the 308 is easy to get a good load for enjoy
