223 AI load data.

My favorite load for my .223 AI is using a 50 grain Nosler Ballistic Tip, 28 grains of H-335 powder, CCI BR primer and Remington brass. Got that load from Mr. Steve Timm who recommended it highly. Last summer took a couple of prairie dogs at 660 yards, one a 670 yards and one a 705 yards with that combo. I guess that you could say that it works for me!

The super load in someone else's rifle has a good chance of not being a super load in yours. Nor will a particular bullet necessarily work well in your barrel. And all 50's don't give the same velocity or act the same with all powders. Using formed brass and without quoting "super load" powder charges........

50TNT - AA2015 powder, start 26.0gr.......super load in my gun is from 3640 to 3730.

50BK - VV133 powder, start 26.5gr and go up.....super load in my gun is from 3685 to 3825.

Other bullets:
40gr BalTip, AA2015, start 27.0gr and go up.....super load in my gun is from 3977 to 4190.

55gr BalTip, VV135, start 27.0gr and go up.....super load in my gun is 3660.

IMI brass, Rem. 7-1/2, bullets with Lee Lube, seated .010" off lands, .250"nk, 0 freebore, 14 twist barrel.

This pretty much sums up two Hart barrels with zero freebore witha 12" and 14" twist.

unreal accuracy with extreme velocity.

My Good Friend Rusty,

Yup, I'll say it's working for you.

I have three .223 Ackley Improved rifles and that load is AMAZING in all three. I'm just super delighted that it works wonderfully in your rifle, as well.

All the best,

Your pal Steve

thanks,

I will have to give it a try.

I use it for my fireform load for my 223 AI and it is scary accurate there.
