Has anyone had good results using this new powder with .223 or .204 calibers? I was just looking at a bottle today. Thanks!

Guess I'm the only one that doesn't like it. It shot OK for me, but was easily outdone with Varget(WSSM's and .17 Rem), Benchmark (.17 FB and .204), and H4895 (.204). It didn't shoot poor by any means, but I haven't found it to be the "best" powder in anything I've tried yet.

has anyone chrony'ed their XBR loads in the .204 just wondering what kind of speeds your seeing. I just picked up a new yote/p-dog gun and I'm getting ready to start testing loads.

I recently tried it in my 300WSM and accuracy was good. I can't comment on FPS as I haven't chrony'ed it yet. I have some 22-250 stuff loaded to try also.

About what I figured, I'll stay with Varget. I take all these newer powders with a grain of salt.

?? Not saying that Varget is not a good powder because it really is. But I counted more than one positive on this thread for XBR. Cannot say it will not hold up to Varget if you have not tried it.

With Savage 22" barrel, 204, I get 4,025 fps with 28.2g of 8208 and 32 v-max. 28.8g gives about 4,140 fps. Accuracy is about .5 moa, decent but not great in this rifle. I shoot the weaker load, and may even drop it down a little more because I like about 3,900 to 3,950 in this rifle with 32 v-max.

With 40 v-max, 27g gives about 3,700 fps., and shoots about the same accuracy.

In Savage 223 with 22" barrel , 50-max shoots about 3,270fps, and averages about .3-.4 moa most days.

Took the 300 WSM out again today and accuracy was excellent using 8208. It was good in the 7mm08AI, under an inch at 100yds and not so good in the 22-250, but it was the first time with the 7-08 and the 22-250. Could have been the bullets in the 22-250.

i just tested some loads for my 7mm-08 and i have 3 decent groups. i shot at 200 yards and about the smallest one was about an inch 4 shots. had one flyer due to my barrel heating up too much. ive figured out that my tikka doesnt like a hot barrel. it throws shots after 4 if i dont let it cool down.
