whats your most accurate load for the 30-06 springfield

52.5g IMR 4350 and 165g Hornady Interlocks.

I know it isnt much but it can be covered with a quarter and it works for me.

An old standard is around 57.0 grains of H4350 under a good quality 180 gr. bullet. My load fine tuned to 57.0 gr.s and 180 gr. Sierra SBT and is extremely accurate and very terminal on deer. My bullets are seated .025" off the lands. This load will usually clock at least around 2,750+ fps. The standard warnings apply, consult a loading manual and work up slowly and carefully.

I'm Running 57.5 grains of IMR 4831 under a 180 grain Sierra Game King out of a Remmy 700 and getting about 2 inches at 200 yards. It is a hunting rifle so I'm very happy with it. Hope this helps.

While this group was shot with 168 gr. SMK's, works almost as well in hunting rifle w/165 gr. game kings.

For longer ranges 53.0 gr. H450 (if you can find any) behind 190 gr. MK's is quite accurate.

Usual precautions: start low & work up.

Groups are covered with a penny at 100, +16"@100 get me on target at 620yds where it does very well.

Here is a group at 130yds, I fired 3 groups of 3 and they were .657", .7", .599". The gun only had about 30 rounds through it at the time now that I have fired it more it is shooting a little better.

.280 - great group! What scope do you have on there?

By my loading records when I had a 30/06 the load the rifle preferred was Sierra 180 GR. PRO Hunter 55.7 GR's of IMR 4350 with a CCI 200 primer in LC brass.

Be careful of load data given on here as one little miss key on the keyboard can lead you to disaster.
Always check a manual for MAX charge for the weight bullet you want to use. Decrease Max load by approx. 10% for a starting load.
