selling live coyotes?

Does anybody on here sell live coyotes? I live in NC and hear about guys selling live coyotes to hunting preserves, for training dogs. What are the laws on this practice?

Not sure thats legal unless someone raised them could be wrong but most states you cant sell wild game.Unless with permit and raised.Not sure on yotes [beeep]

I used to years ago, but haven't recently, & not sure about our current state laws. I think you have to apply for a permit now to sell live fox or yotes here. The laws will vary by state, but if it's legal in your area you can bet that the live price will be much better than what you can get out of a pelt. Just make sure you use soft jaws so that their feet are in good condition. That's what the buyer will want to check out, a bad foot or broke leg usually means no sell.

It is legal in Indiana, but I dont know for how much longer. We can not cross state lines with them.

Its illegal in VA guys were selling them to fox pens for a while till they got caught

You can't sell wildlife here in North Carolina. Not sure you can in any state

It is illegal to sell ANY live wildlife in AZ and it is illegal to possess a live coyote in AZ. As for training dogs to hunt, AZ issues a Game Bird Field Training Permit which only allows an individual to release pen reared birds for training a dog or raptor to hunt (R12-4-416) http://www.azgfd.gov/eservices/special_licenses/gamebird_fieldtrial_training.shtml

You can trap and possess a live coyote in SC .
However I am unsure of selling it. I hear of several guys selling them to running pens. But I dint know if it is in line with the law.
