Need a quick run down on choke tubes

So I am just getting into the shotgun world and got a 20 gauge mostly for just rabbits and skeet. Anyways, I need a run down on choke tubes. I know there are improved cylinder, modified, full and ive seen skeet as well but but does all of that mean. I know full choke is going to give the tightest pattern at the furthest distance but what about the rest.

Thanks for the help!

Generally speaking for 12 gauge guns...

Cylinder = no constriction from the bore diameter.

Skeet = Less .005" from the bore diameter...

Improved Skeet = .007"

Improved Cylinder = .010"...

Light Modified = .015"...

Modified = .020"...

Improved Modified = .025"

Light Full = .030"

Full = .035"

Xtra Full = .040"

Anything tighter is usually expressed numercically such as a .670" ect, and it is up to you to find the bore diameter of your gun to know exactly how much constriction you are applying by using such a choke.
