New 53 vmax

I thought you guys might like to see the new Hornady 53gr vmax compared to other vmax/amax bullets. From left to right 50gr vmax, 52gr amax, 53gr vmax, and 55gr vmax. Hornady is advertising the 53gr vmax as having a BC of .290. I have shot only a few through a 22-250 and am seeing a little more than 3" flatter trajectory at 400 yards compared to the 52gr amax. Don't know if that ads up but it is what it is.

These are blems from Midsouth Shooters Supply. Got em about six weeks ago, wish I would have got more!

The 53gr load is 1/10th of a grain Less than the 52gr load. I am right at Hodgdons max charge of H4895.

That would probably be the Superformance powder from Hornady that boosts MV a couple hundred FPS.

Barrel is 1:12. They appear to shoot very well.

Looks like this bullet is a must try, my favorite was the 60V-Max in my RRA 1-8.
