Simmons Scope 6.5-20

I have a Simmons Scope and on the power/magnification ring, one of the settings (14 power) is the the color red. Why?? I have looked for an answer on Simmons website, and in the instructions, but could find nothing. I would guess maybe this is where the adj.objective parralax setting are best???

Seems like I read somewhere that the red number signifies where the mil-dot height is correct for ranging and such.

It's the magnification setting that the mil-dots will be calibrated to.

I have the Whitetail Classic with the Truplex reticle and it has the same marking.
