went to a gun show and got a new scope (new to me) for my new gun when ever it comes.
its a vintage 1950's Weaver V8 2.5-8x scope its old enough that it doesnt have internal crosshair adjustments its got the rings that adjust widage and elevation. it has a neat crosshair, it is a little busy so the faster i can upgrade the happier i will be when hunting in already busy landscapes but for 45 bucks i think its a good purchase (im sure it beats the heck out of a modern $45 BSA as far as quality). im just curious does anyone see any problems with a scope like this? biggest problem i see is it is a bit heavy so my 7.5 lb gun will be heavier then planned but if it gets me through the winter and next summer till i can upgrade ill be fine
