I use running walkers but I don't decoy, I run them. Most of these guys are using curs and catahoula crosses. Duane will be able to help you more.

We run Curs on Coons, and we're wanting to start decoying this year. Our female tolled a fox and another time a coyote, so they will probably do pretty well.

Let's see. Didn't I read here there are three methods of bring in those Yotes.

Decoy Dogs
Tolling Dogs

and

Bait Dogs.

We have one of the latter. Fox Terrier X Poodle...a Foodle. LOL

We haven't gotten too into decoying just since we haven't had much time to seriously devote to it. Our pit is somewhat clueless to the game yet, but both times she was with us calling she drew them right in just being there.

I just got my first decoy dog and it's a catahoula x kemmer cur from Duane. I've seen his big dogs work and they do a fantastic job.

I run anything that has brains and "teeth". I breed Catahoulas x'ed with other breeds, but only proven dogs. No "pound puppies" in my kennel. No sense to breed unless you are breeding what you "think" is the best.

I have a littermate to yours but mine is 1/2 Catahoula 1/4 Walker 1/4 kemmer and that 1/4 kemmer has some Plott in it, if the truth be known. So I would say more like 1/2 Catahoula and 1/2 hound. lol

Bet your's don't make the cut just for that reason Devin... Seems like those that look for the truth in the dogs breeding, also look for the truth in the dog.

Anyway Mason, I haven't had a dog yet that has made the cut, I am still looking, so it won't be a disapointment.

You are right on devin about the breeding, I didn't really ask too many questions about everything that's in her. There's nothing to hide over here, any questions i ask, get answered. So I guess i've got a 1/2 catahoula and 1/2 hound. lol

It is always good to know the breeding on a dog. If she turns out to be a top dog, this info may be very valuable in reproducing or breeding the same type of dog.

I think we have been over this before.
The stud is Catahoulla,(I know that) the female I was told is Kemmer x Walker. Devin knows more about the stud the female was out of than I do. He owned the stud. I beleive Doc owned the female that my female is out of. I'm not trying to hide anything, just doing my best with the info available.

yeah she has become quite a Velcro dog and she has one goal in life to be with me lol. She was out with us shooting this weekend and so far gunfire has no effect on her. She does get jumpy when I break out the 30-06 with a muzzle break cause well its got some boom to it. rp

Great looking heeler. My dads was a blue and pretty as could be. Ever since she died I've wanted another but just can't do it right now. Thats just about the prettiest red I think I've seen.

You are lucky with the gun fire, as soon as you pull a rifle out our blue was making tracks.

Here is my Airedale Terrorist. Not a great tolling dog, but she is my hunting buddy.

She likes to dig in her spare time.

Here are some pics of mine. 1/8 Plott, 1/8 Redbone, 3/4 Cur. AKA a composite. LOL. Or Mutt.

In any case, thanks to the influence of Predator Masters Members we are having fun!

I love the color of those dogs. Is that Brindle? I probably spelled it wrong too.

I believe Brindle would be correct. When I was a kid my Dad ran Plotts on coons on the Frenchman River and the Muddy. My Grandfather and Great Uncle ran the Greyhounds on Coyotes.

I have a real soft spot for the Brindles. These belong to a good friend.

Ya my buddy has one that looks almost identical to her, but with more black and he is from totally different breed. Storm is his name and he is only a year old but doing well already.

Here's my lab, Blue.

He wasn't very happy here. Called this coyote in a few hundred meters from his kennel.

Playing fetch
