One of the 4 ventured far off. The other 3 were playing around the den mound. The adult male inside of the den. Let out one very short bark. The 3 shot down the entrance hole like greased lightening. Priceless

At one moment, all 4 were in a large red ball fighting. I had a GREAT time watching them all.

Kirby,
no joke, after posting on this thread this morning I took my dog out before I left for work. A crow caught my attention when i heard him fussing and carrying on in the woods next to my house. Something caught my eye below the (flying) crow. It was an adult red fox. He ran through my property and on to the paved road towards a bigger piece of woods nearby. That crow chasing him the whole way, with the neighborhood dogs getting worked up as well. I don't see that everyday around here. I'm pretty sure there is a den in the sand pit down the road from my house. I need to investigate.

Thanks for posting more pictures. My kids really enjoyed them as well.

The darkest one is a male. I crept to within 15' of him a few days ago, as he was bedded on the side of the den mound. I was standing in the wide open. Whenever he looked my way, I froze still until he lowered his head again. Took me 1.3hrs to creep 10' closer to him. From 25' to 15'.

The females are more wary.

That is awesome, I really want to find the den in the 300+ acres behind my house, im nearly positive there is one cause I thought I heard pups last week.

Really, I've live in Las Cruces, New Mexico all my many years (22 lol) and just kinda thought they would be a little younger up north.

To tell the truth I thought you might be in Florida since your sig says retired.
