Nightforce made in Japan.

I have a buddy that told me Nightforce scopes and Bushnell Elite's are made in Japan in the same factory. Anybody know anything about this?
 

Was talking to one of the nightforce dealers yesterday. He said the Nightforce are made in China with the importers in Orofino ID.

That's interesting. I had heard just the opposite, the Nightforce scopes were assembled in Idaho. It may be worth a call to Nightforce in Idaho to get the real info.
 
When Nightforce was getting going, I was at their shop in Kent, Wash. I met the guy that owned it and his partner. I was there to get some copies of Varmit Hunter magazine. The owner told me then that all the parts for the scopes were made in Japan and assembled right there in Kent. I would guess they have moved on since then. He showed me one of the reticules, etched glass! Never saw anything like it befor. Nice guy.

Many parts are made in Japan, but they are all assembeled in Orofino, ID.

The compacts and the new F1 are stamped Made in USA.
