When it comes to skinning,especialy around the face, get smart and get yourself a scalpel and #22 blades.You can buy them at any surgical supply store and they're worth their weight in gold.You will always have a sharp blade without losing time sharpening.A #22 blade is pretty large,about the size of a smaller pocket knife blade.I skin all my animals with one,everything from ducks to bucks.
