No wonder why I couldn't hunt coyotes during deer season

I hunt coyotes on this guys' land. Now I can understand why he asks that I wait until AFTER deer season.

I wait til after deer season due to the fact that in our state, you are required to have a deer tag if you are going to be in the woods during season with a center fire rifle...Our Conservation Dept regs allow only rimfire hunting without a deer tag... Helps cut down on poachers (a little)...

Also, it's dangerous as the devil with everyone and their brother's cousin out there, many for the first time...

Same in TN, only deer hunters can kill a coyote during gun season with a centerfire rifle.
