Heya guys after my trip to Fort Peck hunting mule deer i decided a spotting scope is a must...
What would be the best bang for the buck under $800?
Thanks for the info in advance.

I just bought a nikon for around that. I bought the package dill at cabelas. Scope, tripod, window mount and a case. Everything was good except the tripod. It was to light for the scope.

Call Doug at Cameraland New York and tell him what your needs are and how much you're wanting to spend. He'll treat you right and hook you up with a nice scope at a great price!

Krakkon I know from experience that Sightron and Alpen have awsome warranties. You can get them at Sportsmans Warehouse, Big Bear.

I do not have one now, but my next one will be a Swarovski. I have a 7x50 binoc's from Swarovski, and it is awsome glass. You will not believe the difference, ie: I have Nikon Monark 10x40, a very good binc, which will show you the deer coming out of the woods, the Swaro will show you the deer in the woods. This will require overtime work when "O" gets the economy cranked up, you think? At least for me.

My favorite for a long time for mountain hunting and all around use is the Leupold 12-40
