Really want a AR

Hey guys I really want to get a AR rifle.

I hunt fox and coyotes, and I want a good gun thats accurate and compact.

But the thing is im 17 so I need my parents to buy me it.

I have the money but its just convinceing my parents that I need a new gun. They always pull the you already have like 5 gun you dont need anymore!

So if it was cheeper than that would be easyer to convinve than a $1000 gun.

So whats the cheepest but still well built and accurate ar gun you can get?

Im thinking of getting a .223 or .204

check out OLY ARMS , plinker plus.... good stuff, ...also CMMG has their bargan bin, AR's .. for 599.00

they both good starters, ... you can inprove little by little as you save up, here and there.

i like the .223

i have a franken gun, parts gun, built it little at a time, was allot fun... just buy a Rock River lower ? .. about 330 bucks ? with the two stage trigger.... then save up fo whatever upper you want.
i like the A1 stock's.

just somethings to think about, good luck.

So you can change out the uppers to make it a diff cal?

Best deal out there today is the CMMG Bargain bin rifles.

For $600, you can put glass on it for the same price as buying a new "name brand" rifle.

You should check out your NY gun laws on the EBR (Evil Black Rifle) before looking at which one you want to buy.
 
they had some bushmasters at my local ganer for 750-800 i was looking at.

on that stie it says 5.56. that .223 right?
 
5.56 is military NATO chamber... can shoot anything in that...military ball and .223


now ? the .223 chamber you cannot shoot the military ammo...

but very accurate with standard ,223 ammo.
stick with the NATO chamber,

ya, the CMMG is a good deal, yes you can swap uppers, in about three seconds....lol
6.8 caliber is one that comes to mind.

you can swap things out later as you can afford it, my first upgrade would be a better trigger... bill springfield , does great work , for thirty five bucks.

honestly, a good trigger, good mag's... use iron sights, learn your weapon, shoot the tar out of it..

joine the military, shoot theirs... i would ! i did !! 35 years ago...lol.
