Stripped Lower Formality

Like so many others, I've been considering building my first custom AR. I've always been interested in the 6x45 which leads me to my question. I know there are companies that sell stripped lowers with a chambering stamp of multi-caliber, but is it really necessary to have such a lower when building an AR that's not .223/5.56?
 
Not in my opinion. I'll buy a standard AR lower and put what ever I want on top of it. As long as it's not a .22 only lower I don't worry about it.
