Now I am pretty new to calling and I got a few questions if ya don't mind helping me out.
How does the material of a call affect the sound? Does the toneboard material matter? Is there any advantage to wood vs. plastic for the barrel?
I have read a lot of people articles prasing a raspy high pitched sounding call noise. Is this ideal, or is a more realistic sound ideal? Does this really matter?
By the way I m hunting in Wisconsin, most areas are semi-farmland part forested, others are solid forest.
Is a open read call really hard to call correctly? I used a closed read last year but I felt as though I was limited on my sounds a lot, and they didn't sound so real.... I was using a Haydel's Government Hunter cottontail call.
Thank you.
