im not one for knowing a whole lot about optics and scopes so i was wondering what the correct term would be for a scope that brightens up your field of view through the scope during dusk and dawn time frames......ive looked through some of these scopes and was wondering what kind of scope would this be and what it is actually called

You have the brightest view if the exit pupil is as large as your dilated eye. Depending on age that is usually between 6 and 8 mm. You can calculate exit pupil size by dividing the objective size by the power. An exit pupil larger than your eye adds no more light. Also, in low light conditions using high power is not normally done.
