burris fastfire II

anyone used the burris fastfireII how well does it perform day vs night

I have a Fastfire. I don't know if it is a I or a II.

I haven't shot anything other than targets so far with it, but I like it. I have it installed as a back up / close in sight on my AR:

In totally dark situations it strobes and is pretty easy to see. Again, I haven't pulled the trigger on a critter with it yet. I take that back, there was one "weapons check". Worked fine.

thanks for the reply that helps alot as i am interested in using this sight for mostly shotgunning at night the price on the burris sure beats the eotech

The mount is a LaRue LT - 104:

with a J-point side mount on it. The FastFire "bolts" right on:

Last I checked the Jpoint mount only comes in the 30mm version, so if you have a 1" scope you need the 30mm LT104 with the 30mm spacers. Works great. No worries.

Yes they're expensive, but the way I figure there's enough crap today to worry about. I don't worry about my scope mounts. Not one bit. Cry once, buy quality.

Thanks, Sendit. I'm using the LT-104 already so the extra $69 doesn't seem too bad for a quality mount. Nice set up.
