Just got my sons turkey pictures he took today 20 miles from his house. I scouted the same spot on the 30th with him & now I kick myself for not staying 2 extra days down there...
That area is full of turkeys. I alway see them on lawns, in short cut fields, mostly on someones property though. This was taken off a KS walk in in area.
Shot at about 10 yards. He was walking the dirt road along a corn field surrounded by woods and saw a head about 80 yards away then crawled 100' to sneak up on it. Said there were 4 & maybe another 2 in the field coming out with the rest.
He said they just stood there as he had to rack 2 missfires then shot that big tom.
