Sierra data differences.

Can anyone tell me why in the sierra PDF's obtainable on 6mmbr have completely different loads between the 223 Ar and the Bolt action data sheets?

one in general that has my attention is the 1.6 gr difference in the 50 gr h335 load.

one says that for bolts that 28 grains is max, and the AR shows that 26.4 is max.

I know that there are major differences between a gas operated semi auto and a bolt action, but are these recommendations based on safety or performance/ operation of the firearm?

Thanks- mike.

My guess? The AR data is more recent(you can see that by the newer powders used) and more conservative due to liability factors. I bet if you check all the manuals there is that much variation from one to the other with the same powder and bullet weight. That is why you reference more than one to get your starting load and work up with YOUR gun and stop when your gun shows pressure signs.
