6mm/204 Finally found the right combination

I've been playing with a 6mm/204 for about a year now and while shooting good, most loads from 1" to 1.5" I felt it had more potential. Today I loaded some 62gr VG's over H-335 and AA-2230, I think I found a winner.

I'm going to try some longer bullets, my best groups to date were 55gr Blizkings at 3700fps. This is out of a Stevens 200, Shaw barrel, factory trigger & stock, with a Weaver 2-10.

When I saw the 3700 on the Cronograph I was pretty amazed also, I even ran some Wolf 22 lr target ammo and Cci Blazer 22's over it to check it out. The 55's were running 3690 to 3715 fps. I had run the 55's last spring and was getting 3650fps but this batch is pretty hot but shows no signs of pressure. 3600 out of the 62's will make a great coyote rig. The 62 VG's are so long that I lose about a full grain of capacity to be able to seat them compared to the 58gr V-max.
