.20 Ackley Hornet

Anyone here shooting a .20 Ackley Hornet? It was discussed at my local predator hunting meeting tonight as a great ground squirrel cartridge. It definitely sounds interesting to me. If anyone has one, how do you like it, and how did you go about building yours?

Personally if your going to do a Ackley Hornet, the only one worth the trouble would be the 17. Velocity's are way up there on the little 17AH with a 20gr vmax.

If you want a small 20 the only one worth while is the Vartarg.

Thanks for the info. The more I look into it, the more I think the .22 Hornet would work just fine and be a LOT cheaper and less hassle to own and shoot.

The 22H is a fun little round no doubt about it, but factory ammo is expensive. The biggest complaint from most people is it can be a bit finicky to reload for. I have one and another one on the way in 22 K-Hornet. The K should be a shooter, only time will tell.
