Full floating barrel

I was doing the anual deep clean on my R M77 tang, and noticed the stock had worn the blueing off my barrel right at the end, would there be any benifit of full floating the barrel? I've been gathering allot of info on bedding, wich is coming in the near future, but haven't seen allot on free floating the barrel. info would be greatly app.

If it aint broke dont fix it. As for myself, every rifle I have has performed better by free-floating the barrel & bedding the action along with trigger work.
Next is reloading for the best ammo.
If you are still getting groups you are happy with then you are good.

I'm in the same boat as Bob!! All of mine are free floated and it helped every gun. But like bob said if it aint broke don't fix it.

I would not own one that was not free floated.
