Spotlight lens coloring

I remember some posts previously on the coloring agent used for making aspotlight lens red, but I cant remember what the name of it was. Does anyone know what it is and where it can be obtained? Thanks

Not sure how effective it truly is: I went and bought some of that clear red tape you put on a busted tail light, and cut it out in the shape of the lens.

I used it on my headlamp, and called in a coyote double one night (was hunting bobcat on public land in Oregon; so due to legality they get a pass) to within about 120 yards or so, and their eyes lit-up red.

The thing about the Dykem is, you can start with a real thin coat and add layers until it's right. It won't melt with high-power lights, either.
I'm pretty sure you can make it work without any problems.

The tape might work just as well, I never tried it. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused1.gif

The brake light tape works ok. One layer makes for pink light, two layers is about right, depending on how powerful your light is.
