IF !!! you got any of it , what will you do with it ?? I for one will pay off more dept . My goal is to be 100% dept free by April . I DON"T FEEL IT WILL WORK ANYWAY , I DON'T TRUST OBAMA/LIBERALS and feel anything they do will make it worse !! So "IF" i get any, none will not go back into the economy . I think many will do the same or save it just encase they need it . What do you think ??

I agree and that's what i am afraid of !! so no matter what i am putting almost every penny a earn towards my dept . I will cut back on gas ,eating out . But still do some hunting for Yotes and buying ammo . I would feel a lot safer if someone else was President and will be pinching my pennies as long as Obama is in !! Yup, when you pay your taxes you need to donate a little extra so they'll have plenty to give big business more stimulus, the folks that really need it will never see a dime.

I've been debt free since November of last year, Yahoo.

It's a real possibility that Obama's stimulus package(read socialist bail-out plan)will go down in flames.The senate is debating the plan on the senate floor as we speak and opposition is growing.The most recent polls show that only about 10% believe the plan will stimulate the economy this year.Support for the bill has dropped from 52% in favor down to 36% in only one week.The proposal can not withstand the light of day.That's why the Democrats pushed for a rapid approval of the scheme.
 
Last I heard they were fighting about what was necessary. I remember $30 million for some art initiative!?!? Art can feed you for a long time. I read that if they take the total of the whole package and just divide it by the number of tax payers in the US last year, we'd each get over $9000! You want to talk about stimulus...that would stimulate my budget! Something tells me that I'm not going to get much, and I'm definitely not going to get excited about anything...politician usually take so long (and take so much away) that there is rarely any excitement in the end.

This year, taxpayers will receive an Economic Stimulus payment.That I will try to explain using the Q and A format: Q.What is an Economic Stimulus Payment?
A. It is money that the federal goverment will send to taxpayers

Q. Where will the goverment get this money?
A. from taxpayers.

Q.So the goverment is giving me back my money?
A. only a smidgen.

Q. What is the purpose of this payment?
A. The plan is that you will use the money to purchase a high-definition TV set, thus stimulating the economy.

Q. But isn't that stimulating the economy of china?

If you spend it at Wal-Mart, all the money goes to china.
If you spend it on gasoline it will go to the Arabs.
If you purchase a computer it will go to India.
If you purchase fruit and vegetables it will go to Mexico,Honduras, and Guatemala ( unless you buy organic).
If you buy a car it will go to Japan.
If you buy useless crap it will go to Taiwan.

and none of it will help the American economy. It's like taking water from the deep end of the pool and dumping it into the shallow end to make it deeper.It just don't work.
