Rechambering 22-250 to 22-6mm or 22-243???

I just bought a new Sako 85 Grey Wolf in 22-250 and was going to retire my old Ruger M77 tang safety it has a 26" 1 - 14" twist rate barrel to the safe when I started to think about bringing new life and some fun into my coyote hunting/shooting by rechambering the old gun to a 22-6mm or 22-243 Middlested or something like that.

So my question is I understand the these larger capacity cartridges were mostly designed for the newer high BC heavy bullets but how will they perform with 50gr to 60gr bullets as well has anyone here had any experience with these higher capacity 22 wildcats.

If so what cartridge would you recommend or with the barrel being a slow twist is it a waste of time to concider doing this?

been thinking about rechambering my .22-250 1-14 to a .22-250AI 1-9 to shoot the heavier bc bullets myself.

i shoot a 22-243, but mine has a 1-8 twist and all i have ever shot out of it is 80grs with 45 grs of reloader 25, but it will shoot i love mine.

I had a 27" Hart 1-12 twist with a Match chamber in 22/250 AI that I shot the 60g Bergers at 3700 fps. The 60g V max has a little higher bc than the 60g Berger.

This was one heck of a rifle to 600 yds, never had to shoot it any further than that.

Do a ballistic's table on that bullet at that speed, you will by impressed!

The only problem was that it would shoot bobcats in half and blow up foxes like a paint ball splattering on a brick wall. Coyotes would have half of their rib cage missing if shot within 100 yards. This combo was just the medicine for those hard to put down S. Arizona coyotes.

My load was 37.0g of Win 760, in a PMC case, with a fed 210 primer. I also shot the 55g Noslers at 4150 out of this same rifle with 46.0g of Win 760, compressed load.

I have a friend that shoots the 75g A maxes at unreal speeds out of a 22/6mm Rem. I don't know what distances you are wanting to shoot.

My 22/6mm has a 1 in 12 twist and it shoots great with 55g nosler ballistic tips. The best seven shot group measured .224 at 100 yards.

My friend that loaded them up for me said they should be around 3900fps. We are using 39g of IMR 4064 and federal gold match 210 primers.

No fire forming with mine.
