How many of you make your own stretching beams? If you have can you post some pics and let me know what size to make. I need em for squirels, fox, bobcats, and coyotes. I've done a search on here, yahoo, and on taxi.net and surprizing found nothing on this subject! Need some help please.

Thanks for your advice.

Sweatybetty, Thanks a bunch. That was a great site and found the link you suggested and that's what I wanted, but it only tells two dimentions, don't know how thick the board is supposed to be. And would like to see some pics of others boards. Thanks though!

Oh and love the username!! lol

Here's a coyote board I make. I plane the boards to 1/2" thickness before cutting.

Middle board is for nailing the tail. It also helps keep the sides from bowing inwards when the pelt is drying. The last thing is you can remove the two wing nuts and slide the middle board out so the pelt is easier to get off the stretcher. I have a couple of coyotes on stretchers right now if you need to see one on the board.
