johnny stewart 612 speaker question

i have a js 612 deluxe i got used, speaker is mid range and appears older,recently when i turn up the volume its breaking up until i reach my desired volume, is there a way to check to see if the speaker is bad, and is there a radio shack speak that will work or do i need to replace with the js model, ill upgrade to the long range if i do,
 
There are several things that could be causing that symptom. You need to call Jesse at 254-662-2433 and let him help you determine what you should do. He is the factory authorized repairman for the JS product.
 
Hi GS i had Jesse work my 512 caller and hope it will last another 10 yrs he can fix a caller i have his name and Number wrote down in the phone book VM
