When will the Bush bashing stop?

MONTPELIER, Vt. -- U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., is objecting to wording accompanying a portrait of President George Bush installed at the Smithsonian's National Portrait Gallery in Washington.

Sanders, a strong opponent of the Iraq war, has asked the Smithsonian to rewrite the text that says Bush's two terms in office were "marked by a series of catastrophic event" including the "the attacks on September 11, 2001, that led to wars in Afghanistan and Iraq."

Sanders says the notion that the terrorist attacks were linked to or led to the Iraq war has been widely debunked.

In a letter to the gallery director Martin Sullivan, he has asked the Smithsonian to rewrite the text, to avoid what he calls rewriting history.

Museum spokeswoman Bethany Bentley says museum officials were preparing a response to Sanders and did not want to comment.

It will stop when there are no more democraps.

Or when the war against peace loving muslims fades away and we are savagedly attacked by these God fearing people like 9-11 or worse.

The Bush bashing is already stopping/slowing down! The new blood sport without real weapons is being the first to announce OBAMA "FLUBS" they call them. Obama "FLUBS" apparently have entered the lexicon of modern language already.

We'll hear more of Obama "Flubs" as time goes on and the long time law lecturer who is busy appointing/annointing rank amateurs in positions of real heavy responsibility with little of not actual experience. No shake down cruises, no operational readiness evaluations, no pre-flight check lists just picking out your lawyer buddies based on their loyalty to you instead of experience and competence first and formost.

Leon Pinata' @ CIA is about Obama FLUB #13! A lucky number!

Ohh, the bush bashing will proceed for at least as long as the Clinton bashing, I guarantee it.

Obama is moving on up with more trash in his luggage than Bill ever thought of, and Biden, well he goes without saying. The favoritism that he will have to show Hillary, bringing Bill back into the spotlight, his connections with the Chicago political machine, Rezko, Ayers, Blago, knowing that an aunt was and is living in the country illegally, and that’s not accounting for the honest mistakes that he will eventually make , boy oh boy, this could be the shortest honeymoon ever, but then again the Democrats always were able to put on some of the best dog and pony shows. Keystone cops have met their match!

NEVER!!!

After he preached about the negatives of nation building, and the need to spend less as a government while he was running for president, and then did the EXACT opposite when elected....NEVER!

He lied to get in office, and continued to lie through both terms.

Dude give Obama a break. He isnt even in office yet.
And dont get ahead of yourself. He has to get through one term before he can go through both terms....Geeze!!! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Bernie Sanders is an open, admitted, Vermont Socialist.

Who cares what he thinks about anything?

Not I.

I'd say Carter was the worst of the 20th Century. Not in terms of corruption, he wasn't corrupt, but in terms of failed policies.

We had some really, really bad 19th Century presidents, like US Grant, for example, who were worse but Carter stands out because most of us here were alive during his admin and remember the misery, ie the inflation, the unemployment, super high interest rates, the odd and even gas lines, Iran hostages and worst of all: Disco. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smiliesmack.gif

you seem to forget, we were attacked by terrorists and are now at war with those same scum. war costs money.

When that blabbering idiot is out of office might be a start. Asked what it would be like on the day after he leaves office during his final press conference and I wanted to smash the tv as he fought to find the words so he just talked about his time in office.

Glad his time is up.

I saw that and I wanted to reach through the TV and choke the shyt out of that idiot. Describing his self as a type "A" personality and not being able to lounge around. I know in my mind how I hope his incredibly short lived retirement should go.

An article on MSM yesterday said that America's economic performance under Bush was basically the worst since they began keeping records and certainly the worst in the last 60 years. Virtually no progress made in terms of GDP growth, the rich got richer and the middle class and below were worse off! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smiliesmack.gif

That's nonsense. That is just factually a false claim on your author's part.

"...since they started keeping records"??? Bullpucky. My late great-grandma used to talk about the Panic of 1893 from when she was a little girl. It decimated my hometown of Kirkland, WA (which in 1889 had boasted more brick buildings than Seattle!). Later the Democrats kept the Great Depression going for a decade because they used policies like the ones Obama is advocating now: growing government, spending, etc. To suggest our current economy comes even close to these periods is simply ludicrous. Those who write such BS rely on the widespread and overwhelming failure of the public schools to teach history and critical thinking.

Where'd you read this "MSM" article, The Daily Kos?

BTW, to normal Americans, like me, the MSM is Left biased and as such has little credibility anymore. I'd like to see your article because I'd attack whatever figures it attempts to base its argument on...
