Yes. On the jaws. You can either use round or flat stock. It basically doubles the thickness of the jaws and spreads the contact area on the animal. Increasing the contact area minimizes damage to the animals foot which equates to less fighting of the trap. Here's a picture with some traps I sold recently. The bottom two are offset jaws with outside laminated jaws from round stock. The others are inside laminated with flat stock and non-offset jaws.
