both, but a good bait for mink is a barn rat /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif take one cut it in half and make a pocket set around a bridge, put the half with the head in the hole so it looks like it is looking out, then take the other half and make it look like its going in the hole, put trap in front of hole /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif.

chipmunks and muskrats makes great mink bait also /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif

ill second muskrats. after ya skin em just cut off the back legs and throw em in a pocket set.
