gray foxes in texas

is it legal to shoot gray foxes' in texas? anyone know? i have seen 3 out at my lease and have called them in very close. but didn't want to shoot them until i knew for sure.

Per pg 72, TPW "Outdoor Annual":

Fox are considered a furbearer. They can be taken legally w/ a small game license, but only for personal posession. If you want to sell them you'll need a furbearer's license.

Check out this website. You need to read and interpret yourself, but looks like most if not all furbearers can be taken "recreationally" year round. BTW, Tx does classify both red and greys as furbearers.
 
aperantly i need to read a little better. but yea the are year round with a general hunting lisence. no limit.
