I would think you guys hunting in the wide open would do real well with ASAT camaflage. It doesn't have that stereotypical tree, bush, and grass look to it so I think guys shy away from it, kinda like the Predator camo. [also very effective.] Check it out, you'd be amazed at how those open patterns break up your outline and the "blob" factor is zero.
You are not going to "BREAK UP" the human outline, no matter what brand of camo you are wearing. You will "BLEND IN" better with you surroundings depending on the camo, but you still have a human outline.
The only way to eliminate a human outline is to distort it some how. This is the purpose of a ghillie or 3D suit, also the reason why Sniper teams throughout the world enhance there ghillies with local brush and weeds(distorts the figure and blends in). The problem with Ghillies (FOR ME AT LEAST) is they slow me down. Especially in the desert. Too much to get snagged on, too heavy and too hot.
Wear your favorite camo and back up to some cover..
